Georgia Pacific and Mi Terro Collaboration Announcement

A subsidiary of Georgia-Pacific, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of paper, pulp, packaging, tissue, and building products, has entered an agreement a with Mi Terro, a cutting- edge biomaterial start-up company headquartered in Los Angeles. The agreement aims to advance research and development of sustainable technologies, aided with Mi Terro’s innovative approach of converting agricultural waste into sustainable materials.

The relationship between Georgia-Pacific and Mi Terro through 1915 Studios, a startup accelerator program sponsored by Georgia-Pacific and powered by gener8tor. This program connected Mi Terro, among other selected companies in the Fall 2023 cohort, with the resources and expertise that Georgia-Pacific offers. This relationship highlights Mi Terro’s unique technology and knowledge in biomaterials conversion from agricultural waste, as well as Georgia-Pacific’s commitment in to working with innovative start-up companies to develop novel solutions for the pressing environmental and social challenges.
